Privacy Policy for AirTerm

Last updated: August 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the AirTerm application ("the App") handles user information. AirTerm is an SFTP and SSH client: it connects to the servers you configure, and to nothing else. We operate no servers of our own, and the App sends us nothing. We do not collect any personal data.

1. Data processed and permissions

To do its job, AirTerm processes the following data solely on your device:

AirTerm requires no account and no registration.

2. How your data is used

Everything the App holds — saved connections, credentials, host keys, transferred files and terminal output — stays on your device, apart from the traffic exchanged with the servers you connect to, which is what the App exists to do. We do not collect, transmit or store any of it. There is no telemetry, no usage statistics, and no third-party analytics or advertising in the App.

3. Sharing data with third parties

Because AirTerm collects nothing on servers of ours, there is nothing for us to share, sell or transfer. The servers you connect to receive only what you send them, under credentials you control.

4. Data security and retention

Credentials are held in the macOS Keychain and are subject to its protection; the security of the rest depends on the security of your Mac, so we recommend protecting your device with a password and the security features of the operating system. Connections use the SSH protocol, and a server whose host key does not match the one recorded on first contact is refused before authentication is attempted, so credentials are not offered to an impostor. Data is kept until you delete it: removing a saved connection removes its stored password, and uninstalling the App removes its stored data.

5. Your rights

You are the only holder of the data the App handles. You can delete individual connections, keys and passwords at any time from within AirTerm, and remove everything by uninstalling the application.

6. Changes to this Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy when new features are introduced. Any change will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
